Description
These are some of the many microprocessor artworks I have produced for my Historical Series. I have assembled 22 of them here. The first microprocessor, the Intel 4004, is at the center with the other major microprocessors surrounding it. This is a great history of microprocessor development. The chips represented are as follows:
Top Row: AMD Athlon XP, Intel 8085, Motorola 6800, Motorola 68000 (overlaps 6800), Intel i860;
2nd Row: RCA 1802, Intel 8080, Texas Instruments TMS1000, Signetics 2650; 3rd Row: MOS 6502, Intel 4004, Intel 8088, Intel 8086 (below 8088);
4th Row: Intel 8008, Intel 4040, Rockwell PPS-4 (overlaps 4040), Zilog Z80, Intel 8041;
5th Row: Intel Pentium, AMD 2901, Intersil 6100, IBM PowerPC 601
